Silence is the mother of everything that has come out from
the Depth. And Silence kept quiet about what she was
unable to describe: the Unspeakable.

Tao Te Ching

Verse 1

One cannot cognizant Tao.

One cannot name by a human name that Origin of the sky and earth Which is the Mother of everything.

Only he who is free from worldly passions can see It; and he who has such passions can see only Its Creation.

Tao and Its Creation are One in essence, though called by different names.

The passage which exists between them is a door to all the miraculous.

“Tao can’t be explained, try to explain, doesn’t exist. You can not talk, see,  hear Tao into existence. Language doesn’t have mystery in it. What created light, darkness, wind, earth, heaven has neither birth nor end. It without comprehension, visualization, sound.  Without shape or form, Tao possesses not rituals, laws or pretense.  It can’t be discovered or resurrected.

Mental senses desire illusions, desires of the 10,000 things. Tao attract truth.  Understand Great Mystery don’t try.  See it, stop looking, hear it, stop listening.  Everything resides within Tao, even the 10,000 things. The Great Mystery opens doors to understanding, but do not desire and it unfolds herself to you.  Desire-less brings wisdom and understanding, desire brings unknowing.”

Tao discussed isn’t Tao.

Name not eternal name.
